A Special Thanks To Redemption Church

thank_you

Church Planting has hands down been the hardest thing I have ever done.  In fact, if I had know how much difficulty, heartbreak, frustration, and work was involved in planting a church I might have said no.

The reality is my family really believes God called us to plant a church in Boone County, Il. For over 8 years Audrey and I dreamed about planting a church in Boone County.  When the time came to actually do it, we were (and still are) all in!

While planting Redemption Church has been the hardest thing I have ever done, it has also been one of the most rewarding.  Today Redemption Church is 1.8 years old and I believe the best is yet to come.

The church is spoken of in the Bible many times, and sometimes is illustrated or described by things like an army, a family, a body, and a bride.

One of my personal favorite illustrations is that of Family.

As we plant a new church, we are building.  One of the things we are building is Gospel Family.  We are a group of imperfect, broken people with Jesus at the center.

While your kindness, cards, and gifts were incredible and meaningful, I want to take a second to thank you for something else. Thank you for sticking with us.  Thank you for working alongside us.  Thank you for the way you support the vision and ministry of Redemption Church.  Thank you for caring for our community.

THANK YOU FOR BEING OUR CHURCH FAMILY!

We have our work cut out for us, and we believe Redemption Church is a battleship not a cruise ship.  Our church is passionate, scrappy, and wants to see Boone County transformed by the Gospel of Jesus!

I am so thankful to be on the journey with you; our church family!

I want to thank everyone who participated in showing my family some love for Pastor Appreciation.  Your outpouring of love and support is a huge encouragement to us, the kind words you wrote to us in the cards were inspiring, and the stuffed gift baskets were incredible!  THANK YOU!
