Sunday in Review 12.6.09

- This week we kicked off our new series called “Shopping for a Savior”!  I am PUMPED for this series, and believe God is really going to move through Meadowland Church this month.

- I was up super early on Sunday, and remembered I needed to pick up some 9 volt batteries.  I found myself at Meir way to early in the morning and had two realizations:

1.  Some people go grocery shopping way to early in the morning!

2. I am stoked about what Jesus is doing in and through Meadowland, but there is still a lot of work to be done and many lives still need to be reached with the Gospel of Jesus!!

- I have to give a SHOUT OUT to out worship team.  We had two people not feeling well, some others who had some major stuff going on this week, and they still showed up and BROUGHT IT!!  Thank you for your hard work and dedication!!  More than that, thank you for living lives of worship!! Worship was Amazing on Sunday!!

- I have to be real, Sunday’s message was not my favorite message to give.  I felt like I said what Jesus told me to say, and handled the scriptures well, but kind of felt like the energy was low on Sunday morning. Right after service, a woman ran up to me and told me that she believed Sunday’s Message was written just for her!!  Praise the Lord!! Obedience pays off, even when it causes you and I to be uncomfortable!

- This Sunday our Ushers and Greeters wore “Walmart Like” vests to introduce the new series.  If you seen anyone wearing those vests on Sunday morning and have questions – There are there to help!

- Couple thoughts from Sunday’s Message:

- God is the ultimate gift giver.  He provided us with salvation through faith in Jesus (Ephesians 2:1-5). which reveals God’s personality and meets our needs!

- Any time we are presented with a gift, we have 2 choices – #1 Accept the Gift.  #2 Keep on Shopping.

- What have you done with the gift of salvation.  Are you still shopping?

- Worship involves financial giving.  You cannot separate the two!  (Matthew 2:11)

- It was another great Sunday at Meadowland.  Things  at Church have this “electric feeling” lately. i really believe God is beginning a new work in us as a church and 2010 is going to be off the chain!

- This Sunday the Bears won.  If felt good to pull off a win!!

- We went out to eat with my My Dad, Leanne  (Step Mom) , Amy (Sister), her husband Joe, and Abby & Beth (Step Sisters).  We hit up Maggiano’s in Shamburg and destroyed some Italian food.  Someone told them we were there to celebrate my birthday, so we got the candles and all at dinner.  We had a great time, thank you everyone.
